Greetings to you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ , by the grace of God , we are fine and serving our Lord faithfully , as his entrusted ministry.
We entered into the New Year with a new hope and blessings from above. The Lord is honoring our work and hard labor in the mission field. The days are going out like a vapor as we approach the summer time in India , in the west this is the spring time which brings forth new colors and sprouting forth with new life.
As we believe in Jesus as the savior to us, who conquered death so that He became the life and resurrection,” Who so ever believeth in him shall not perish ,but have everlasting life”. This is the reason we are alive and worships him. We are expecting miracles from him and attempting great things for him .As a brother in Christ , I would like to share with you some news from the mission field in this regard.
Oasis school: Oasis school has been going ,with God-given grace, thanks to the talents of different people in the school. There are 250 children studying in the school and around 20 staff members are working as full time and part time teachers ,most of them are from a Christian background. Some are from different communities such as Hindu and Muslim., By the grace of God we have dedicated the 1st floor of the oasis school building for the high school , ages 13 to 16.
On 22nd Feb 2016, all the children and staff enjoyed a celebration, singing and praising , talking and feasting . , At present there are 24 children were being sponsored by CLCF- USA and some individuals, still there are 76 children are waiting for sponsorship , we are very thankful to all the sponsors who are helping to the children at oasis school
Church Ministry: My father Rev N Jacob came to Gannavaram in 1966, started the ministry in a small rented thatched house since then he carried out the soul-winning mission until his last breath in2009. After that, I took over the ministry in Gannavaram . We assembled together in a small tin sheet roof shed, that was 20X20 feet. The Lord gave me the vision to enlarge the mission work, to re-establish the church as a building and the body of Christ.
On 5th Jan 2015, I laid the foundation stone for the church, ground floor for church office and guest rooms for believers who come from far distance places. Then we started work of the first floor . The walls constructed , and a tin sheet roofing put in place. It can accommodated about 300 people . The area is 3000 sq ft, and includes a room for prayer and small kitchen too , It was completed by 15th of February and was dedicated as a church building on 18th February 2016, More than 600 people attended this service .,
The Lord is great and doing great things in India. Even though the persecution is going on, the church which is the body of Christ is growing day by day. The Lord glorified, apart from this we are having 40 days of fasting prayers in every church, weekly we have 3 days outreach and cottage prayers
Agape Home: Agape Home is a Christian boarding home and school for under privileged children .There are 65 children in our care, 30 children were staying in the home and 35 children come from the neighborhood, they are all studying in English medium and native language. There are two boys who are going to take the state level examinations this month, so please pray for them. The rest of the children are going to take exams in 1st week of April, so please pray for them.
At present the Government is restricting the christen children home and orphanages in the name of rules and regulations, so they think we are converting the children , so please pray for them.
Leper camp; Since 2005 onward we are helping the people afflicted by leprosy by providing Rice which is the basic food stuff to them, every month we are distributing 300kgs of rice . They are in need of help for clothing, blankets and some help for medication. They are unable to go out side , many having lost their limbs. Now a few of them are going out begging at Bus stations and Railway stations , begging from passengers, living by the alms of other people , they sing songs of our Lord and go on for begging some distribute the gospel leaflets, Please pray for them ,there are 25 leprosy victims living in a small colony on the outskirts of the town .
